This series of lunchtime concerts takes place
at ST GEORGE’S, HANOVER SQUARE,
St George Street, London, W1S 1FX.
It principally gives performance opportunities
to young musicians including the finalists of
the Handel Singing Competition in 2014.

In 1985 I got a call out of the blue from the London Handel Orchestra’s fixer asking me to join the Festival for a performance of Bach’s Mass in A and the Matthew Passion. It was exciting to be making my professional debut on the
baroque flute, and to be starting what has been a long and fulfilling career in period instrument orchestras.
