London Handel Festival 2024 March 14th – April 20th
The 2024 London Handel Festival promises to be the most joyful and celebratory to date. As ever the programme features a thrilling array of world-class Handel-inspired performances and events from many of the world’s leading artists.
2024 marks the 25th anniversary of Laurence Cummings as Musical Director of the London Handel Festival. Our Festival Launch Event for members takes place on Thursday 9 November at St George’s, Hanover Square. Musical Director Laurence Cummings and Festival Director Gregory Batsleer introduce the programme alongside performances from guest artists as well as a sparkling reception.
The full programme will be announced to the public the following day on 10 November. Priority booking for the 2024 Festival for members will open from Monday 13 November with booking for the general public opening on Monday 27 November.
Tickets for the members-only Festival Launch event will go on sale alongside the 2023 Autumn Series of which there are more details below.

The London Handel Players perform a special programme to commemorate the 300th anniversary of Handel moving into his home in Brook Street.
This event is in partnership with Handel and Hendrix House. Holders of £40 and £30 tickets are eligible to access the house on October 21 and 22.
Programme to include excerpts from famous Handel operas and oratorios including Rinaldo, Radamisto, Giulio Cesare, Samson, and The Choice of Hercules.

Made up of gifted young professionals, the Southbank Sinfonia is one of Europe’s premier orchestras. Performing at St George’s, Hanover Square for the first time, they are joined by Associate Musical Director Adrian Butterfield and winner of the 2023 International Handel Singing Competition Florian Störtz in an eclectic and exciting programme spanning 100 years of glorious Baroque music.
Programme to include works by Handel, Telemann, Vivaldi, J.S. Bach, Rameau, Muffat and Mozart.

Leading the London Handel Orchestra and Choir of St George’s for the first time in his tenure, Musical Director of the London Handel Festival Laurence Cummings conducts the renowned annual performance of Handel’s Messiah at St George’s, Hanover Square.
This year he is joined by celebrated soloists including:
Fflur Wynn soprano (winner of the 2005 singing competition)
Anita Monserrat alto (finalist of the 2022 singing competition)
William Wallace tenor (winner of the 2016 singing competition)
Morgan Pearse bass (second-prize winner of the 2020 singing competition)
