A journey taking us from the route to the gallows and gin drinking of the 18th century passing by churches including a Hawksmoor gen and one on the site of a former Leper hospital. We walk through squares from the Hanoverian period, learning en route about the growth of London, visitor who cam from abroad to adopt the capital as their home and the streets walked by Handel during his lifetime. We arrive in time for the evening concert. Meet at 5.30pm at St.George’s, Bloomsbury (please note the right St.George’s church!), Bloomsbury Way WC1.
