Walk – Royal Parks and Palaces – Cancelled, see main page
An afternoon discovering more about the life of the royal family, their palaces and the gardens and parks developed during the Hanoverian period. We will walk along the streets in the area around St.James’ Palace and see the shops and Gentlemen’s clubs that were established to support the Royal Court. Our royal connections continue with a stroll through St.James’ Park into Hyde Park, along by the Serpentine Lake, and the Round Pound in Kensington Gardens before finishing at Kensington Palace, a favourite of George II and his wife Queen Caroline. Meet at 2pm at Green Park Underground station (exit South side near The Ritz).
