Neun Deutsche Arien

Neun Deutsche Arien

Internationally acclaimed violinist Rachel Podger joins Arcangelo’s Artistic Director Jonathan Cohen and winner of the 2021 Singing Competition, Hilary Cronin, for this special recital at St George’s Hanover Square, Handel’s very own church and home of the London Handel Festival.

The magical and moving Neun Deutsche Arien represents Handel at his most reflective and introspective. Their uniqueness offers audiences personal insights into the great composer’s faith and religious beliefs.

In the first half, Cohen and Podger perform some of the most intimate and moving works for solo violin of the Baroque era.
