St Matthew Passion

The London Handel Festival's celebrated annual liturgical presentation of J.S. Bach's St Matthew Passion returns in 2027.

This unique presentation recreates the work in the way it was originally intended to be heard: sung in German and presented as part of the Good Friday Vespers service, complete with a sermon and congregational hymns. It is a rare opportunity to experience this monumental work in its original liturgical context.
