Il Pomo d'Oro & Emelyanychev
Internationally acclaimed ensemble Il Pomo d'Oro, music director Maxim Emelyanychev and special guest oboist Ivan Podyomov make their London Handel Festival debut with a brand-new programme celebrating the remarkable breadth and virtuosity of Handel's instrumental writing. With a peerless reputation for vivid, thrilling performances, Il Pomo d'Oro and Emelyanychev are true superstars of the baroque world.
This special performance takes place in the recently reopened, atmospheric Great Hall of Bart's North Wing. Adorned with murals by Handel's great friend William Hogarth, this standout venue promises to make for one of the unmissable events of the 2027 Festival.
Prior to the performance, CEO of Bart's Heritage, Will Palin, offers audiences a unique pre-concert tour of the space, sharing its history and its surprising connections to Handel himself.
With limited capacity, early booking is recommended.
